Plaid, Plaid, and more Plaid!

Seems the students of the Upper East Side agree, plaid is here to stay (for now). B, S, and even Chuck are sporting this classic pattern that has been getting lots of public light in the past fall/winter season. Whether I see plaid in spring/summer is hard to say. But for now, plaid is a top choice in patterns to sport.

How can I incorporate some plaid into my wardrobe?

Plaid

1. Accessorize - since plaid is such a popular pattern choice, there is a lot of choice in accessories out there in many different colours. Headbands are the easiest way to add a little pop of plaid without spending a fortune.
2. Key items - Plaid can be an overwhelming pattern sometimes so its best to keep it concentrated in one section, such as a tunic top, skirt or coat. If you want something conservative, choose a plaid that is mainly grey or with accent colours. If you want a little more punch, go for bright and bold such as the red tunic top from urban outfitters.

Happy shopping!

I kind of like plaid. But its more of a winter print than a summer one

true, although there's more light, summery plaids which usually have more white then black :)
