From the Runway... Elie Saab - Fall 2008 Couture

Elie Saab is a self trained Lebanese fashion designer, who was recently invited in the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture (Union or Chamber of Haute Couture/High Fashion) in 2003 and has been a permanent designer since. He's a favourite of many celebrities and his designs have been spotted all over the red carpet. His recent fall 2008 couture collections of evening gowns takes inspiration from Sistine Chapel, and Michelangelo's colour palettes. There are many high-sweeping shoulder details, intricate layering and twists using gorgeous materials. What I love about this collection is, the unique, and innovating silhouettes that extend from shoulder to feet.

My favourite out of the entire collection is the last dress definitely.
